Product Description
The A112PID 1-1/4" IPS Steel Pipe with Plastic Sleeve is designed to allow a smaller diameter pipe to be used with larger slip-on fittings. A Schedule 40 steel core is combined with a durable outer plastic sleeve to increase the effective outside diameter, enabling compatibility with 1-1/2" IPS fittings.
The plastic sleeve creates a consistent outer diameter equivalent to 1-1/2" IPS (approximately 1.9" OD), allowing the pipe to fit securely within fittings designed for that size. This is commonly used when adapting existing pipe sizes or standardizing on larger fittings within a system.
This pipe is measured using IPS pipe size, meaning the nominal size refers to the inside diameter rather than the outside. Always reference the IPS pipe size carefully to ensure proper fit with compatible fittings.
