Cable grommets help prevent rust in exterior applications or elsewhere where moisture is a factor, by providing a barrier between the cable and the painted or powder-coated surafce through which the cable is drawn when being installed. They help prevent noise in interior applications by dampening vibration in the cables. Ultra-tec® cable grommets are installed (after the paint or powder coating is applied) into holes in intermediate posts, cable braces and, in the case of Invisiware® Radius Ferrule, Push-Lock®, and Pull-Lock® fittings into the end post holes through which the cable exits. They are offered in black UV resistant Delrin®.
