Product Description
The Hollaender Interna-Rail® 172F – Obtuse Tee (Adjustable Angle) is a precision fitting designed for ADA-compliant handrail systems where a horizontal rail must connect to a post at an wide (obtuse), adjustable angle. This fitting is commonly used on ramps, transitions, and non-90° layouts where maintaining a continuous, code-compliant gripping surface is critical.
As part of the Interna-Rail® modular mechanical railing system, the 172F delivers the clean appearance of welded rail without on-site welding. The fitting assembles using tubular rivets and socket head cap screws and requires a Rivet Nut Tool for proper installation. A Trunion is required to complete the adjustable joint and is sold separately. The anodized aluminum construction provides excellent resistance to corrosion and staining, while integrated set screws ensure a rigid, maintenance-free connection suitable for public and commercial environments.
