Product Description
The Hollaender Speed-Rail® 47R – Flange for Solar or Roof Mount is a heavy-duty structural mounting base designed for attaching solar racking systems or permanent safety railings to roof or deck surfaces. Widely used throughout the solar industry, Speed-Rail® fittings pair with steel pipe to create strong, reliable support structures that meet OSHA and IBC code requirements. The 47R Flange provides a broad mounting surface and multiple fastener points to ensure secure attachment in demanding environments.
The flange features a large 6" × 8.5" footprint to distribute loads effectively over the mounting surface. Its twenty-two (22) 5/16" mounting holes accommodate standard 1/4" TEK screws, delivering excellent pullout force and strong torque resistance. Additionally, two Hollaender set screws engage the pipe to further increase the overall pullout capacity of the installed system. This same flange can be used to mount roof-attached railing systems and is capable of supporting loads that meet the IBC requirement of 50 lb per linear foot. Always confirm the correct IPS pipe size for the installation.
